Apprentice Writers in Residence Needed



Do you have an interest in Creative Writing and would like to develop your creative writing skills? Are you aged between 16-19 years of age and live in the Perth and Kinross area?

If you answer yes then this commission is for you. The Royal Scottish Geographical Society (RSGS) will place you with an established Professional Writer to develop your skills in creative writing using the RSGS’s collections as inspiration to explore the story of RSGS and the heritage that it cares for.

Apprentice writer in residence - a commitment of one or two days per week on site with further work in your own time and place. The project will take place in June and July 2014

Please read carefully the commission that is available. To apply please include the following:

  1. CV (no more than one page of A4) – this should clearly detail your education and any relevant employment or experience to date.
  2. A short personal statement on your interest and suitability in applying for a commission – this can be a portfolio of images/artwork, a video, written material (no more than 500 words)
